He maintains particularly strong credentials in business advisory and development and it has enabled the Firm to provide consultancy services to more than 1500+ companies to establish their operations in UAE, Qatar, India and offshore jurisdictions. He works closely with his clients and has developed strong and long standing relationships with them helping them to develop their business and assists them in preparing the financial feasibility studies and business plan moreover advising them about the viability of their projects / business in different jurisdictions. His vision has also helped to set up the Firm’s software division and to develop ERP packages suitable for SME’s and has provided IT consultancy services to many clients for their system setup, selection of software, implementation and system security audit.
He looks after the Organizational Consultancy department of the Firm wherein the services focus to provide strategic, reengineering and operational enhancement services to help clients efficiently manage their organization, improve operational and delivery effectiveness and achieve business growth mainly aligning their HR process, people and systems with organizational strategy. In addition, John serves as an advisory board member for 4 firms, which is into Trading, Engineering and Technical services, Consultancy and Services Industry. He has been recently interviewed by Accounting ME magazine discussing topics about his 15 years journey and success with HLB Hamt. He is also the active member of Institute of Chartered Accountants Od India (ICAI) Dubai Chapter, Indian Business Promotion Council (IBPC), Dubai Quality Group.(DQG) and Sports and Education Promotional Trust (SEPT) India.
Vijay Anand, Founder Partner and CEO of HLB Hamt is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and approved audit member from Ministry of Economy, U.A.E, has extensive audit experience in wide range of business and specializes in providing audit, assurance and advisory services for varied organizations. In addition to his role as CEO, he is responsible for coordinating the firm’s corporate affairs, wherein he is the active member of Firm’s Managing Committee, Employee Benefits Committee as well as the Strategic Planning team.
Having 30 years of professional experience and working with diverse group of entrepreneurial companies and business owners, Vijay, is highly experienced in industrial and commercial matters and is mainly involved in the audit and business advisory services of various multinational and local companies. His professional experience includes providing diversified services to business groups which includes manufacturing, technology, construction, trading and services industries and looks after the area of review, implementations of reporting system and evaluation of quality control principles and procedures. He has extensive experience with industries on international, national and regional levels, and has developed expertise in assessing audit control effectiveness; moreover serving organizations of all sizes ranging from SME’s to multinational companies. He is immensely experienced in conducting financial investigations, forensic audits, quantify damages and assessment of internal audit control weakness.
Prior to commencement of HLB Hamt, Vijay has had a diverse service level experience of working for multinational companies like Grasim Birla Group, one of the largest Corporate giants in India and senior level position with Price Water House Coopers International, where he gained experience in supervising the audit of multinational and fortune member companies. His vast experience in Auditing, Financial reporting, Operational and consulting services add values to the Firm’s spectrum of clients by combining his commitment and leadership style commensurate with practical approach. He spends time with the clients to properly understand their business needs, with his extensive knowledge and expertise so as to benefit and add value while assisting the clients in meeting their compliance needs. He looks after the clients and understands their audit needs and always develops the reputation for building and maintaining strong relationships with them by delivering prompt and valuable service. He is also looking after the HR Consultancy division of the Firm which was established as executive search and selection department mainly focused on recruiting and delivering finance professionals with adequate skill, knowledge and insight for diverse industries.
In addition, Vijay serves as Director and advisory board member for various other Companies dealing in consultancy and services industry. As talented speaker, he has delivered various presentations on audit and accounting subjects within the firm and is a speaker before business and professional groups. He is also an active member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Dubai Chapter and The Canadian Business Council. He also serves as mentor member of the firm’s Cultural & Arts club and HLB Hamt Alumni Association.
