Althaf Ali is the Founder and Managing Director of Inspired Holding Group of Companies. Being an innovation seeker and having taken on challenges from school days onwards, he initiated his business endeavors by doing creative designs, strategic marketing etc on part-time basis. At the age of 17 he founded his first company, and during college days, as a college drop-out he was running 4 different companies spanning in 3 districts. In 2003, at 20 years of age, he arrived in Dubai. Being a designer with vast exposure in advertising field back, he readily accepted assignments while on a visit visa, determining not to commit to a 9-5 job. Being an entrepreneur from a young age, he decided to pursue sales in advertising domain on profit-sharing basis with various companies. He acquired his stated profits after delivering fine projects to the clients. As a risk-taker, he earned capital within 18 months, making enough to start his own Company, stamping his first Residence visa ever as an investor. By 2005 with his entrepreneurial acumen and marketing zeal, he established Metroplus advertising, a full-fledged advertisement agency in Al Nahda, Al Qusais.Dubai was a land of opportunities and a fast-growing business hub. Amidst the clutter of needs and demands, he sensed a strong necessity to provide eco-friendly illumination across the city.Apparently, a huge demand existed in the market for LED strips, modules, drivers, customized light boxes, spot lights, and panels in the market. He started to trade within Metroplus label manufacturing LED sign systems and light boxes with modest setup in Deira dealing with electronics and electrical products. Progressively, 2009 was a turning point when he established LED World LLC, a one-stop destination for all lighting requirements, making a complete turnaround into eco-friendly LEDs, decorative lighting, electrical, retail, lighting projects solutions and services, design and consultancy etc. With ongo-ing determination and perseverance, as a creative visionary he emerged as one among the pioneers in the illumination technology.

The group upholds the noble causes of environment conservation and efficient energy by spreading awareness in the society to switch towards eco-friendly LED lighting applications, to save energy, conserve resources and protect the environment.

Inspired Foundation is raising an internal fund to donate 100,000 bulbs to the needy. They plan to convert the lighting at schools, old homes and orphanages to energy efficient and cost effective facilities.
As LED bulbs are 100% eco-friendly, it’s an eventual pay back to the society. They believe this initiative will propel the Eco- friendliness and green energy concepts in the rural areas and save significant cost in energy consumption, which will maximize earnings that can be invested for wiser causes. The push towards a green economy can be easily achieved by wide application and conversions to LED Lighting.

FAMILY

Althaf Ali is happily married to Dr. Shebin Althaf and blessed with two Children Anika and Sehran.

His brother Safar Ali serving as Group Operation Director, is a great support in his business, handling all operational matters of the Group companies.

The first company under the umbrella was Metroplus Advertising, incepted in 2005. Currently Inspired Holding Group encompasses flagship companies namely Metroplus advertising,LED World LLC, Lighting World Solutions (LWS), Digital World Signs Solutions (DWS), Inspired Lighting LLC and Lumib-right Ltd. In 2016, different verticals were consolidated under IHG for a structured management system for better holistic efficiency in providing advertising, signage, graphic and lighting solutions. The group employs over 275+ full-time staff hailing from India, Europe, Philippines and Africa.
