The Indian Social Centre in Al Ain, is one of the sociocultural organizations in the UAE registered with the UAE Ministry of Community Development.
The 43 year old Indian Social Centre has been a hub of sociocultural activities of around 60,000 Indians living in Al Ain.
The Indian Social Centre is also recognized as an outsourcing agency for consular services.
It is engaged in organizing sociocultural events every year. The Indian Social Centre also hosts weekly consular services offered by the Indian embassy to help those who are needy.
Its illustrious history spanning four decades, the Indian Social Centre of Al Ain has been regularly organizing all major Indian celebrations, attracting huge gatherings.
Those students who excel in the Board examinations every year are also honored with academic awards.
In coordination with all eight Indian schools in the Al Ain region, the centre has been conducting art, literary, sport, and science related competitions for pupils every year.
The centre has an active women’s wing led by Lalitha Ramachandran, the chairperson, and Soni Lal, secretary, who also lead the reception committee of the Indian Festival.
The festival also pay tributes to the UAE government and Rulers for their continuous support to the Indian community and its sociocultural activities,
The Indian Social Centre in Al Ain has been shifted to its new premises recently. The new centre is located in Khabisi district of Al Ain, around five kilo metres away from the city centre.
