The Indian Association in Ras Al Khaimah is a socio-cultural organization of the Indian diaspora living in the emirate.
It is very much active in the sociocultural as well as educational arena. The association has become the centre of attraction of all recreational activities of the Indian community residing across the emirate.
Indian School Ras Al Khaimah is an English-medium school situated in Nakheel. The school which is managed by the Indian Association is founded in 1979, and is one of the oldest and biggest Indian Schools in the United Arab Emirates.
The medium of instruction in the school is English and it is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education in New Delhi. It is recognised by the Ministry of Education of the United Arab Emirates. It also has a very big library with a very large number of books on various subjects.
In co-ordination with Indian Consulate, the Ras Al Khaima Indian Association representatives visit jails and hospitals and offers necessary help to many needy Indians. The Indian Association also provides attestation services of various documents.
It further take the initiatives in the expatriation of the body of those Indian diaspora who die in the emirate. It takes the entire responsibility for the same and is done free of cost.
It celebrates all important festivals of India like, Eid, Onam and Christmas in addition to the National festivals of India like Independence Day, Republic Day and the National Day of UAE.
This is a unique opportunity for the Indian Community in UAE to get together in a secular atmosphere of brotherhood to promote unity, love, respect and integrity of Indians.
