Initially, the company was started in the name of Col. Arts, which has now become the digital wing of Liberty Printing Press. Col. Arts specialises in digital print from electro-photographic to wide format and from vehicle graphics to event management.

Having three branches in Deira, Qusais and a production unit in Ajman, Liberty is distinguished by the distinctive and specialist print work they undertake. They constantly review and upgrade things and have a reputation for effectively handling complex projects.

About C K Mukundan
C K Mukundan, belonging to Kunnath house, is the son of the late Madhavan Nair, a farmer, and the late Parukutty Amma. After completing his school education, he reached Mumbai , where he pursued higher education along with a part-time job. In 1980, he moved to the UAE and joined GKN Al Gurg under Essa Saleh Al Group as a storekeeper. Later he moved up to a sales executive position in the stationery division of the company. After learning in depth about the trade, he left the company in 1989 and started his own venture called Kunnath Stationery. When many of his customers approached him with their print requirements, he realized that there is a big opportunity in the printing sector. Thus he started Col. Arts Advertising in 1991. In between he had also worked in Badaari Group (Eros Group) as the general manager in their printing division. Finally, in 2003, he started Liberty Printing Press LLC with 18 employees. Col. Arts was relaunched in 2006 to focus solely on digital print and event management.

What makes C K Mukundan stand apart as an employer from his competitors is the care and concern he gives to his employees. He makes sure that his employees are happy with their job. They get paid on time every month and get leave when due. Besides, all employees have accidental insurance. C K Mukundan’s view is that content staff is the secret behind content company.

Besides Liberty Printing Press, C K Mukundan runs Universal Engineering College in Kodungalloor and Global International Private School, Thodupuzha. His latest venture, Swisslet Resort & Villas, will be opened in Munnar shortly.

C K Mukundan is married to Ragini Mukundan, a director of Liberty Printing Press. The couple is blessed with two sons, Rithesh and Manish.

Rithesh, an MBA graduate who completed his studies in Dubai, now takes care of the Sales Division of Liberty Printing Press. Manish, who graduated from London’s College of Communication with specialization in Print Management and an MBA holder as well, is taking care of the production side.

C K Mukundan is a member of Universal Education Trust in Kerala. During free time, he enjoys travelling, badminton, golf and yoga. He also loves to spend quality time with his family.
