Sheeba S Nair, hailing from Poojappura in Thiruvananthapuram district, is an RJ at Radio Asia 1269AM. Basically a dubbing artist, Sheeba has worked for films including Meghamalhar and Red Wine. Sheeba, who started her dubbing career when she was 13 years old, has also dubbed for TV serials such as Oru Penninte Katha, Peithozhiyathe and Venalmazha.
Sheeba is a talented dancer and has participated in the dance competitions of school and college youth festivals. Specialised in Odissi and other classical dance forms, she has done many stage shows. She has also done compering for a number of stage programmes.
Besides, Sheeba has proved her skills in creative writing. She has written script for radio plays broadcast by Radio Asia and lyrics for albums. The programmes hosted by Sheeba on Radio Asia are Manjurukum Pularkalam, Vanity Corner, Ishal Meharjan and Autographs.
Sheeba has received the Film Critics Award 2002 for the Best Dubbing Artist and Asiavision Award 2015 for the best female voice.
Sheeba completed her schooling at AMHS High School, Thirumala. Her higher education was at Sanskrit College, Thiruvananthapuram, and Annamalai University.
Sheeba is the daughter of Gopalakrishnan Nair, a businessman, and Shakunthala. During free time, Sheeba enjoys music, dance, writing, reading and travelling.
