M Salahuddin

Mr M Salahuddin is the Chief Executive Officer of Al Hathboor Group, one of the leading business houses in the UAE with a plethora of activities such as retail, turnkey projects, oil and gas services, and property management. Mr Salahuddin is also the Director of MEDCARE Hospital, Dubai, the Vice Chairman of MIMS Academy Trust, Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences in Kozhikode and Vice President of Global Education Trust, Kozhikode.

Mr Salahuddin has been the CEO of Al Hathboor Group for over a decade. Based in Abu Dhabi, the markets of Al Hathboor include Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Established in 1950s,  Al Hathboor represents business ventures such as Al Hathboor Electricals (AHE); Al Hathboor International which is associated with AVON Cosmetics, cosmetics and car care products; Al Hathboor General Trading that deals with artists’ materials and stationary products as well as tenders; Gulf Mechanical Engineering and Suppliers (GMES); Emirates Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Supplies Co. (EMEESCO); Al Hathboor Foods; Arabian Gulf Agencies (AGA); Professional Laundry Equipment Trading (PLET); Martinizing; Al Hathboor Real Estate (AHRE); The Elegant Bags; Al Hathboor Industries (Power Centre); Al Hathboor Switchgears (AHSG); Electrade; Al Hathboor Investments and Al HAthboor Informatics that provides language translation services.

Hails from a village in Kasargod called Trikaripur, he has always been accessible to the needy and a big part of his income goes to charity works. He started his career in the UAE in 1976 with the Ali Haji Abdulla Awazi Gargash as sales engineer. After a year he joined the Ministry of Electricity and Water. The next year he joined Ranya Trading as branch manager. In 1979 he joined Bablani Electrical Trading Co. In 1981 Al Hathboor took the stakes of Bablani and it bacaame Al Hathboor Electricals and Mr Salahuddin was absorbed into this group. Until 1985 he was the General Manager of Al Hathboor Electricals when he was asked to take the charge of Gulf Mechanicals, the sickest unit of the group. He took the challenge and made it one of the most profitable units. From the position as the Senior General Manager of Electrical and Mechanical Divisions Mr Salahuddin became the CEO of Al Hathboor Group in 1997.

This down to earth, simple man believes in mutual respect and getting satisfied and making others satisfied by doing good things for those who are less fortunate. He is married to Mrs Sarah Beevi and has four children and three grandchildren. His eldest son Mr Sameer Salahuddin is the supply chain manager of Crown Emirates, second son is Mr Salman Salahuddin, DM in Cardiology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, and youngest son Mr Safwan Salahuddin is doing Aviation Management. His only daughter Ms Safeera is engaged with own business.
