He is successfully running used spare parts business. For that he was recognised with Hindu Rattan Award and Nava Rattan Award by National Congress of India.

Hailing from Trivandrum, he is married to Mrs. Sreeja. They are blessed with two children, Revathi Premraj and Rohini Premraj.
