|Salim Mohammad, a native of Chavakkad in Thrissur district, is the Managing Director of Crossings International Group. Head Quartered at SAIF Zone, Sharjah, also has operations in Mauritius and India under the Branches-Crossings International (Mauritius) Ltd and Crossings International Distribution, Cochin. Centrepoint Shopping Mall in Thrissur, Kerala, is another venture under Crossings International.
The core activities of Crossings International are providing logistics support and consolidating FMCG to duty-free operators across Africa, Middle East and the Indian Sub-continent. They are the official distributors for all the major tobacco manufacturers including Philip Morris International, British American Tobacco, Japan Tobacco International, Imperial Tobacco Company, Al Fakher Shisha Tobacco and Premium Cigars. Crossings International serves 78 duty-free operations in Horn, East, Central and West Africa regions. In the Indian Sub-continent with a distribution coverage to India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Crossings International is the official distributor for all major tobacco manufacturers- Philip Morris, BAT, Imperial and JTI. Crossings is also the travel retail distributor for Al Fakher Shisha Tobacco and apparatus. They distribute Villiger, Azan, Roberto D Duran, Maya Silva, Edicion Roja
|and Columbus cigars. Besides, Crossings is the official distributor for confectionaries such as Ferrero Rocher, Guylian, Perfetti Mentos, Haribo and Mars. Evios Organic olive oil and Organic food products are among the other products being distributed by Crossings.

On Personal Front
Salim Mohammed, belonging to Valiyakath family, was born as the son of the late P. Enudheen, who was running a small textile business in his home town. When Salim was only 17 years old, he was dropped by his father at Thrissur Railway Station, from where he started a 38-hour journey to Mumbai.
|After 15 days, he set on another four-day journey in a ship to Port Rashid, Dubai. That journey, happened 43 years ago, has taken Salim Mohammad to places. He joined Kistenmacher GMBH, a German company based in Hamburg & in Dubai, as a salesman from 1972 until 1975.From 1976 until 1985 he started managing a retail gift & novelties stores networks based in Dubai,Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.1986 he moved as Deputy GM for Sharjah Airport Duty Free Shop, then operated by Swiss based Weitanauer Group, until he moved to Philip Morris International, as their Area Manager for Middle East & Asia South Region.He left his employment career during 2005 and starting his own business venture, Crossings International Distribution. This long journey is still on.. Salim Mohammad is passionate about photography and he has received much appreciation for his artistically captured photographs. He has also published a book titled ‘City of Domes’, a photo feature book on Sharjah.Active in social circles, he is also a former president of Sharjah Indian Association. Salim Mohammad is married to Najma, a home maker. The couple is blessed with three sons- Sadr Salim is manager with Philip Morris international based in Kuwait, Nihal Salim, director at Satchi & Satchi, and Wasim Salim, director at Crossings International.
