A man who captures moments behind the lens, Shiju Basheer is a professional and experienced Photographer with the Montage TV Production LLC. He has been known for one of his entries on for the 2014 Photo Contest by National Geography. Apart from that he has also been a part of the very popular Kochi Biennale organized by the same named foundation which is actually a non-profit charitable trust engaged in promoting art & culture and educational activities in India. He has been engaged in animation for many Hindi films as well as creating several photo journals.
Shiju’s photo documentary ‘Life in trash’ has been critically acclaimed and received many applauds. He has compiled and authored a book named ‘Unscripted Lives’ which is soon to be released at the Kochi Biennale in 2015. He considers himself lucky enough to traverse India and several countries cross Asia such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Nepal and some countries in Europe and Africa. For his works, Shiju prefers pain, agony, helplessness and solitude as his favorite subjects.
Being a professional photographer he also has his hands on at animation. He is married to Simi, a homemaker and they have two children, Nourin studying in third grade and Hanan.
